All sentences are half unless deemed dangerous people. i didn't know that was even the case tbh as it used to be two thirds but then got reduced to half a few years back.
Obviously life sentences carry a minimum Tariff. so a murderer could get a life sentence but serve a minimum of say 15 years and are only legible for parole after 15 years and then have to go through the process of getting it.

Think I read that as hes classed as a danger he has to do two thirds and not half of the sentence.
No doubt he will do rehabilitation inside and say he was made to do it by peer pressure and gang culture and show remorse and his brief will try and get that part dropped and only get him to do half.

Coffee it’s a regular occurrence in London these days. I think it’s about 3/4 of all cases in London occurred in Newham as well. Good sentence but still not long enough. If wasn’t as If he done it to one person either. Several were left with severe injuries

Acid attacks are vile, disgusting, cowardly. There are no words to adequately describe the people who do that.
It's common in some parts of the Indian subcontinent, notably Bangladesh and some areas of NW India and Pakistan. Often for the most trivial or reasons.
There's an excellent organisation in Dhaka, Bangladesh that works to rehabilitate victims. As far as rehabilitation is possible. http://www.acidsurvivors.org/
